🚨 BREAKING: Moments ago, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law Senate Bill 8, an extreme anti-abortion bill that bans abortion before most even people know they're pregnant with no exceptions. 

➡️ BUT ABORTION IS STILL LEGAL IN TEXAS ⬅️

Here’s what you need to know: 

📢 SB8, the 6-week ban that allows strangers to sue Texans for helping someone access abortion care will not go into effect until September 1, 2021. 

📢 SB8 is unconstitutional and will likely be challenged in the courts. No 6-week ban on abortion has actually been implemented because it is unconstitutional. 

📢 SB8 is designed to cut off Texans’ access to safe abortion care by targeting abortion funds and everyone else who helps someone access abortion care. But we won’t back down. Abortion funds will continue to support Texans seeking abortion care no matter what. 

📢 We will keep fighting to restore abortion access with policies like #RosiesLaw 🌹 until everyone can access abortion care. We believe that we will win, but we need you with us for the long haul.
