Viva Ruiz (shehertheythem) (@chocolatinaruiz) is a community and family and street and strip bar and nightclub educated artist and advocate, progeny of Ecuadorian migrants raised in Jamaica Queens. A Filmmaker and storyteller working in multiple mediums aspiring to bring joy to spaces and people that the institution of art ignores. Building power and birthing pro-abortion propaganda with the @thankgodforabortion experiment, currently artist in residence for the abortion rights org @shoutyourabortion. 
 
Mad that my colonizer ancestors were revered and my indigenous ancestors erased, here to amend and also avenge. Decolonization of self and dismantling white supremacy the point of all the work, prayer and ritual central to all practice.
