“I was in college studying abroad when I got pregnant by my Swedish boyfriend. I was very lucky because Sweden is a very progressive country. I was a Junior in college, I knew I did not want a baby. My boyfriend was supportive, he too was a college student. He came with me, and the procedure was respectful, painless, and FREE. In Scandinavia the socialized medicine is top notch. I had a no shame abortion. I still feel no shame. I am now 53, and still have absolutely no regrets. My life took a wonderful course, I got my doctorate, and love my career. I have a great husband and life is good.”
