✅  Modern architecture was a 20th-century movement focused on design and innovation
✅  Modernist architects used new construction technologies and materials for the time period, as early as the 1910s
✅  Designs were often clean and functional, with clear lines and open spaces
✖️ Designs often lack ornamentation
✖️ "Modern architecture" isn't the same as postmodern architecture or contemporary architecture, it is a movement that came before as a predecessor in style and philosophy
