The Getty Villa’s ancient Egyptian ushabti (funerary figure) was excavated in 1928–29 by archaeologist Cecil Firth from the tomb of a man named Neferibresaneith at Saqqara. His tomb held a total of 336 ushabtis, each inscribed with his name, which are now found in museums and collections all over the world. The second image shows one of the 336 located at metancient/metmuseum. Let us know in the comments if you’ve seen an ushabti of Neferibresaneith! ⁠
