Walking in a winter pun-derland ❄️ Today is the winter solstice which marks the first official day of winter, and we're ready to freeze the day.

While you're chillin' at home, the animal kingdom is focused on fighting the frost. Takin's moose-like snout helps warm up air before it even gets to their lungs to preserve body heat. Polar bears' characteristic white fur is actually clear, hollow, and filled with air to help them cruise through the cold weather. Reindeer are completely coated in two layers of hair, providing insulation and making them surprisingly buoyant - useful for swimming through frigid waters.

Pygmy hippos are native to West Africa so they don't need much protection from the cold, but they do enjoy a good wreath.
