How many lemurs in this prosimian pile?

To save lemurs, what is left of their forest habitat needs to be protected. San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance has a study site in Maromizaha, a rainforest in eastern Madagascar, to study aye-ayes. Camera traps are used to learn about this little-known lemur’s natural behavior. There are at least 13 lemur species in this area, and the cameras monitor lemur and other wildlife activities. In addition, our conservation scientists work with local educators to teach students about the native wildlife.
