All jokes aside, orangutans are endangered in the wild due to habitat loss caused by palm oil plantations. 

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is a proud member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), which promotes a sustainable palm oil industry to limit destruction of rainforests and conserve the habitat and the wildlife that reside in it. 

You can help by looking for products that are RSPO-designated as containing certified sustainable palm oil.
