Celebrating the purrrfect predator on Global Tiger Day 🐯

The zoo tigers are Malayan tigers, one of six subspecies of tiger found around the world - all of which are endangered. The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance has worked with @sintasindonesia since 2017 to establish the first long term conservation project on Sumatran tiger ecology in marginal habitats. Our extensive knowledge of the tigers in our care allows us to better serve our partners in preserving wild tigers and their habitats for generations to come.
