Their habitat is melting away. The Arctic sea ice that polar bears rely on for hunting is quickly becoming obsolete as the ice caps melt due to human-caused climate change. 

Our scientists are currently studying the amount of energy that our polar bears use for a variety of activities. This helps us determine what these bears need to thrive in the wild and how severe the risks are as their natural resources dwindle.
