The Madagascar habitat in Africa Rocks features 5 species of the island’s most iconic inhabitants: LEMURS! The name lemur is from the Latin lemurs, meaning spirits of the dead. 👻 But they aren’t ghosts. They were actually named for the lemur’s silent movements.  These primitive primates are considered to be the world’s most endangered group of mammals due to habitat loss and hunting.
