Our little red ruffed #lemur currently tips the scale at 9.2 oz. Keepers named him Ony, which means river in Malagasy. This rare species is included in Primates in Peril: The World’s 25 Most Endangered Primates, published by the ‪IUCN, and every birth of a red ruffed lemur is a critically important one. The #sandiegozoo has a successful history of breeding red ruffed lemurs with over 100 born since 1965. #moveitmoveit #AfricaRocks #EndExtinction
