Happy Sssaturday! The vertically positioned, eliptical #pupil is a clue that the #rhinocerousviper is indeed a #viper. Elapids (the group of #snakes that includes cobras) have round pupils. This snake's cryptic coloring and "horns" provide camouflage as the snake rests among leaves on the forest floor in equatorial Africa.
