## Caption

Did you know that Spoonbills are a very rare species in the UK?

They are on the red list of conservation concern and due to habitat loss and other pressures, they disappeared as a breeding species centuries ago. For more than 300 years, not a single Spoonbill chick was raised in the UK. 

However, thanks to conservation efforts, and the preservation of wetland habitats their numbers are slowly on the rise.
