Nothing to see here… 🦈

Blue sharks are under severe pressure due to illegal fishing and industrial finning operations around the world. However, Tristan da Cunha's new marine protection zone (MPZ) provides a much-needed sanctuary and pupping ground for these beautiful animals. The Tristan MPZ is roughly three times the size of the UK, and it’s a good job… with one blue shark delivering anywhere between 5 and 135 pups per litter!

Find out more about the inhabitants of Tristan and its new marine protection zone at the link in our bio!
