As water temperatures start to drop, frogs and newts may be thinking of heading out of their ponds for the winter. You can help them by creating a cosy frog & toad abode for them to hide out in once the cold weather really hits!🐸

⛏️ Dig a 30-45cm deep round hole with a flat bottom in a shady spot
fill it with assorted logs & stones - imagine you're making an underground maze!
🧱 Keep piling your materials up to a bit above ground level
🌿 Cover your mound with soil, but make sure there's still some spaces around the edges where your local amphibians can get in!
🌻 If you fancy adding a finishing flourish, why not sprinkle some wildflower seeds over and around their new mansion?
