Welcome to day 5 of our #25DaysofPhotographers Advent Calendar! Today, Neil Smith talks about how sketching as a youngster evolved into photography! "As a teenager I use to go sketching down my local marsh and I found myself being drawn into nature. I treated myself to my first camera and lens at the age of 18 to help me take images purely for reference for my artwork. As the years have gone by there is no doubt that the photography has taken over. I am lucky to have two RSPB nature reserves within 15 minutes of my home and take advantage of this as often as possible. I love the early morning and late evenings for the light and often find the subjects to be more obliging and confiding.
