As one of the most recognizable faces representing Latinas in Hollywood, we are taking a look back at her career from small roles in telenovelas like “Acapulco, cuerpo y alma” to leading roles like Gloria in the Netflix series “Griselda.” During her time playing Gloria Pritchett on “Modern Family” (2009-2020) she would go on to become the highest paid actress on television. Through her portrayal of Griselda Blanco, she made history as the first Latina, born in a Latin American country to be nominated for the Emmy for “Lead Actress in a Limited Series.”
