Did you catch this cameo in Disney Pixar’s “Elio”? The Latin American Spanish version of the film, which centers around an 11-year-old boy of Mexican and Dominican descent who accidentally becomes Earth’s ambassador, features a voice cameo of Mexican electrical engineer and Citizen Astronaut Katya Echazarreta, who became the first Mexican-born woman to go to space in 2022. 

“Lending my voice to this narrator, who connects humanity to the universe through curiosity, science, and imagination… felt like coming full circle,” Echazarreta wrote in an Instagram post.
