Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal is hitting back at “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling on Instagram following her post on X celebrating an anti-trans UK Supreme Court ruling. After the high court in the U.K. ruled that a woman is defined by biological sex, excluding transgender women, Rowling praised the court’s decision, and in response, activist and social media creator Tariq Ra’ouf made a video calling for a total boycott of the Harry Potter franchise, saying “That awful disgusting sh*t— that has consequences.” Pascal, who is well-known not only for his career as an actor but also for advocacy of the trans community, took to the video’s comment section, writing “Awful disgusting SH*T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”
