Iconic Colombiana Karol G recently returned to her hometown of Medellín to celebrate the reopening of her former elementary school, Colegio Arenys de Mar, which she helped restore over the past two years through her Con Cora Foundation. At the reopening event for the school, which is now ready to open its doors to 600 students, La Bichota reminisced on her memories at the school and advised the children to study and pursue their dreams.

“I wore the same uniform that the girls here are wearing. It makes me so happy to say that this is a dream come true, being part of a project that will positively impact so many people,” she said in her speech. “I have often dreamed of returning to school because those are very special moments. When you are here, you visualize your life and dream with friends. I want you to be very happy and study hard. Always remember to believe in yourselves.”
