## Caption

“Agatha All Along” made history when Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn, and Rio Vidal, a.k.a Death, played by Aubrey Plaza, kissed in the two-episode finale. With this, the show featured the first lesbian kiss in the Marvel cinematic universe. The unprecedented yet passionate smooch comes after the two teased their history with each other all throughout the series and is the second overall queer kiss, following Brian Tyree Henry and Haaz Sleiman’s characters in the 2021 Marvel film “Eternals.”

Plaza, who stars in the Marvel show as antagonistic witch Rio Vidal, made headlines recently when she responded to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s comments about Puerto Rico in her speech at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards:

“I just wanted to very quickly respond to the racist joke that was made at that Trump rally about Puerto Rico, where most of my family is from. Thankfully, my sweet abuelita wasn’t here to hear that disgusting remark. But if she was alive today, I think she would say, ‘Tony Hinchcliffe, go f*** yourself’—and yes, The Wall Street Journal can quote me on that,” Plaza said.
