Adrienne Bailon-Houghton (adriennebailon) made history when she became co-host of The Real becoming the first Latina to host a daytime talk show in the U.S. on  English-language TV. The Puerto Rican/Ecuadorian singer/actress was co-host of the day time talk show from 2013-2022. She won a Daytime Emmy award & NAACP award for her work. 

“I identify as Latina and my upbringing was rooted in hispanic culture - I am the child of an immigrant; I have a father who doesn’t speak English; I grew up bilingual with Latino food and music and I’m proud to speak Spanglish on daytime television. Ultimately, I think my authenticity and Latinidad is what has led to my success,” she previously told Forbes.
