One of the best parts of using a password manager? When a breach alert hits, you can instantly swap in a new, secure password. 

That came in handy with Gmail this week, but Gmail wasn’t the only big name dealing with security drama. Cloudflare fended off a record 11.5Tbps DDoS attack, and OpenAI faced scrutiny after a tragic incident pushed new AI safety measures.

Meanwhile, the FTC fined Pornhub’s parent company Aylo for failing to block child sexual abuse material, ICE renewed a spyware contract raising privacy concerns, and Disney agreed to pay $10M after allegedly collecting children’s data on YouTube. Google also confirmed it will restrict app sideloading on Android starting next year, a move meant to fight malware but one that could lock users deeper into its ecosystem.

And if that’s not enough, PayPal users are being targeted by a new phishing scam that hijacks accounts by spoofing service@paypal.com.
