Me thinking we would have a chill getaway to Banff 😃 Me while planning our Banff trip 😵‍💫💸😫😭🫠 1. I didn’t expect everything to be so expensive, such as the accommodation and rental cars.  I get its high season but I have been to places in high season before, $1000 for the cheapest motel (not even in Banff) was kind of crazy 😳 And it would have been the most expensive car I’ve ever rented!  If I could I would at least plan a year in advance for a better selection and cheaper prices. 2. Mountain climate is unpredictable, but at times I was sweating under one layer! 🥵 The next moment I needed to wear everything at once 🥶 Then in an hour it would be the perfect weather and I was still wet from rain 🥲 3. Thank goodness we were prepared with roadtrip snacks, because if you’re out all day in the park there aren’t a lot of food options, and if they do have food it’s either expensive (at the hotel restaurants) or small cafe fare (small wrapped sandwiches) 4. My hands were shaking trying to get the tickets to Moraine Lake!  I literally trained days in advance and was anxious because if you don’t get the tickets when they’re first released you have to buy them 2 days before.  If you don’t get them you have to pay a private company and it costs at least $100 USD per person! 5. “Go where the WiFi is weak” - it was a little too weak because even though I downloaded offline maps and got an eSIM I wasn’t able to search for directions when I was unsure looking for certain viewpoints! #banffnationalpark #banfftrip #visitbanff #banffcanada #banffalberta
