Coming soon to the Han River: Seoul’s first-ever floating hotel! 🏨🌊

As part of the city’s bold “River City 2030” vision, a luxury five-star hotel with 166 rooms is set to open by 2028, near the southern end of Sogang Bridge in Yeouido.

With a projected budget of ₩175.3 billion KRW (~$127 million USD), construction is expected to begin in 2027 — as long as funding stays on track.

But that’s just the beginning. The Great Hangang Project aims to reimagine the Han River as a vibrant lifestyle and tourism hub by 2030.
