Oksu Station is officially Seoul’s hottest subway stop — and no, we don’t mean trendy. 🥵

According to data from Seoul Metro (seoulmetro.official), Oksu Station on Line 3 hit a sweltering 39.3°C at 3PM on July 24, making it the hottest among all major stations. Not far behind was Seongsu Station on Line 2, coming in at 39.0°C.

Both stations have outdoor platforms, which likely amplified the heat. In fact, stations with exposed platforms or limited cooling systems generally showed higher indoor temps across the board.

Oksu may sit on the scenic Dongho Bridge — known for its stunning night views. But in this summer heat? That beauty doesn’t stand a chance. 🌉🔥
