Dutch design studio Modem recently launched a dream recording device called “Dream Recorder”. Its simple night light shape hides amazing dream-making functions. This AI-driven device can transform the user’s remaining dream memories in the early morning into psychedelic visual clips.

The operation process is extremely intuitive: the user only needs to press a button when waking up in the morning and dictate the content of the dream, and the device will use an algorithm to generate a surreal short film with a vintage VHS grainy feel. In addition to the instant playback function, the device can store up to seven dream records, providing a complete one-week dream observation cycle for users who are keen on exploring the subconscious mind.

The founding team of Modem Studio revealed that this idea originated from a deep curiosity about the human subconscious. They hope that through this product, people can start a conversation with their inner selves before immersing themselves in their daily busy lives.
