Métis athlete Kendra Farmer spent 6 years competing on the Huskie Women’s Track & Field team, taking home 13 Canada West medals and 11 U Sport medals.

She is a 4X U Sports Academic All-Canadian and a 2X Canada West Student Athlete Community Service Award winner and in her final season with the Huskies, took home four Canada West gold medals in the 300 metres, 400 metres, 4 x 200 relay and 4 x 400 relay.

That same year she was also named Canada West Female Track Athlete of the Year, in addition to receiving the Valerie Girsberger Trophy for All-Around Female Athlete.

On top of her outstanding athletic achievements, Kendra is a dedicated volunteer, serving on the Board of Directors for both Sask Sport and Saskatchewan Aboriginal Track & Field Youth, as well as coaching for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games and Running Wild Athletics.

Graduating with distinction from USask, Farmer has a B.E. in Chemical Engineering and currently works as a Junior Associate at Medicine Rope Strategies, a 100% Indigenous owned consulting business founded by fellow Huskie alumni Derek Rope.

She also continues to give her time to the Huskies and our Truth and Reconciliation efforts through helping Indigenous youth feel seen, supported and welcomed on-campus.

Thank you Kendra – we are so proud to call you Huskies alumni 🧡💚
