How’s the semester going so far? We are kicking off our Fall 2025 #MoodySpotlight with utcommcouncil President Saanvi Sreejit from Frisco, TX! 

Saanvi is an advertising senior AND Miss Texas! She’s at #TEXASMoody because of the college’s vast resources, approachable professors and supportive community. “Moody has shaped me into a stronger student, a more confident leader, and a better person.”

Early in her time at #TEXASMoody, she realized that her strength wasn’t in the creative side, but the strategy, which led her to the Texas Media and Analytics program. She loves the “storytelling with numbers” aspect. 

This past summer, Saanvi served as an intern lead at WFAA, the ABC affiliate in Dallas. She managed a team of interns from across the country. Her favorite part was being able to mentor them and teach them the products and sales process that she’s grown so passionate about. 

Saanvi was also crowned nationalamericanmiss Miss Texas! She’s been competing in pageants since she was 12 years old, and winning the Miss Texas title was a dream come true. “I really admire how my Moody experience ties into it. Communication and confidence are at the core of pageantry, and through Moody I’ve gained valuable interviewing skills, public speaking experience, and the ability to have a meaningful conversation with anyone.” 

As utcommcouncil president, she’s been able to give back to the organization and college that have given so much to her. Saanvi’s favorite #TEXASMoody memory has been tabling at Gone to Communication with utcommcouncil. “It was such a fun and exciting experience to welcome new students into what will be some of the best years of their lives.” One of Saanvi’s primary goals is to strengthen connections with Moody student organizations and college leaders.

Saanvi’s favorite spot to study depends on the day. At night, she loves studying in the DMC lobby because it’s quiet and the glass windows offer a great view. During the day, she gravitates toward the CMA Plaza! She’s looking forward to hanging out with her friends and making memories on the Forty Acres during her senior year!
