There are many differences between these two surface drives 

1) 40 EFI fits a tall shaft transom. Feather Lite Pro fits a short shaft transom.

2) 40 EFI weighs 315lbs, has reverse and uses a 12 inch propeller. This surface drive also has power trim.

Feather Lite Pro comes with a 9 inch propeller, has manual trim and weighs 170lbs. Feather Lite Pro uses an electric clutch that gives you forward and neutral
