The Thousand Oaks Police Department is hosting a free safety program for newly licensed and future teen drivers — and their parents!

Led in partnership with the California Highway Patrol, the Start Smart program helps young drivers understand the serious responsibilities that come with being behind the wheel. 💡

🔺 Did you know? 43% of first-year drivers are involved in crashes. Teen drivers (ages 16–19) are 3x more likely to be in a fatal crash compared to older drivers.

Let’s work together to reduce teen traffic collisions and save lives.
