The inaugural FIU Pig Roast is serving up food, culture, and community — and this year, CARTA innovation is on the menu! While the roasts are being prepped, our labs were “cooking up” gold coins on 3D printers. More than 1,600 coins were produced for the event, giving Panthers a chance to cast their votes in true FIU style. 💙💛

This collaborative effort spanned three CARTA Innovation labs:
🏛️ SoA Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS) — 964 coins
🖨️ SoA Digital Print Lab — 580 coins
🤖 Robotics and Digital Fabrication (RDF) Lab — 60 coins

From prepping designs to fine-tuning the printers, CARTA’s team of staff, students, and technicians worked together to bring tradition and technology to life.
