❗️The Porsche 992.2 Turbo S is the most powerful 911 ever, pushing the limits of hybrid tech while the 992.1 stood as the last pure ICE Turbo S.

The 992.1 used a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six with 640 hp and 590 lb-ft, relying solely on combustion for its performance.

The 992.2 downsizes slightly to a 3.6-liter T-Hybrid flat-six, but gains electric assistance to deliver 701 hp and 590 lb-ft.

Acceleration is explosive in both, but the 992.2 edges ahead with 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds, shaving a few tenths from the 992.1’s already lightning-fast 2.6 seconds.

Top speed remains similar at around 200 mph, though the hybrid’s broader torque curve makes it even more relentless in mid-range pulls.

On the Nürburgring, the 992.2 clocks a 7:03.92 lap time, a massive 14 seconds faster than the 992.1.

The 992.2 carries about +180 lb more weight due to the hybrid system, yet chassis updates, active aero, and wider tires erase the penalty.

Braking power improves too, with larger carbon-ceramic discs and recalibrated systems for repeated high-speed stops.

Visually, the 992.1 kept smoother, classic Turbo S styling, while the 992.2 wears bolder vertical intakes, sharper side scoops, and a more aggressive rear bumper with added vents under a larger wing.

Inside, the 992.1 blended analog and digital gauges with Porsche tradition, while the 992.2 goes fully digital with a 12.6-inch curved display and exclusive “Turbonite” trim for Turbo models.

The ignition key on the left, a Porsche hallmark in the 992.1, disappears in favor of a start/stop button in the 992.2.

Both offer incredible daily usability with back seats and luggage space, but the 992.2 proves that hybridization can coexist with practicality in a supercar.

Pricing has climbed as well — the 992.1 Turbo S started around $207,000 USD, while the new 992.2 Turbo S launches closer to $230,000 USD before options.

With hybrid power, sharper tech, and a faster Nürburgring time, would you pick the groundbreaking 992.2 or stick with the pure ICE 992.1? What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
