The Global Sumud Flotilla is a courageous act of solidarity with Palestinians who are struggling to survive under the Israeli government’s cruel and unlawful aid blockade amidst its ongoing genocide and manmade famine in the Gaza Strip.⁣

On board the civilian flotilla boats are international human rights defenders including climate justice activist gretathunberg carrying essential supplies to the besieged people of Gaza.⁣

Greenpeace calls on all governments and international bodies to uphold international law and ensure the Flotilla (globalsumudflotilla) is allowed to complete its peaceful journey, to deliver much needed food and medical supplies by sea, safely and unhindered. ⁣

Humanitarian relief efforts must be protected, not targeted. ⁣
⁣
Blocking aid and targeting those who deliver it are grave violations of international humanitarian law. ⁣
⁣
Only by immediately ending the siege and releasing all UN aid convoys amassed on the border can the famine be brought under control, saving the lives of tens if not hundreds of thousands of Gazans.⁣
