Noah Wyle served up an Emmy-nominated performance in “The Pitt;” we’re serving up the show’s Top 5 Yinzer-approved moments ahead of Sunday's 77th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony. No spoilers, we promise.

1. Best product placement: It’s a toss-up between Episode 6, when the staff shared Primanti’s in the break room, and Episode 15 when they shared a post-shift Iron City in the park. 

2. Best use of nostalgia: You can’t set a show in Pittsburgh and not name drop our favorite neighbor, Mister Rogers. An early, multi-episode story arc involves a patient who once built sets for the iconic children’s show. 

3. Best Pitt Connection: Episode 8 introduces a patient who once worked for Freedom House Ambulance Service, which was founded at Pitt and set the standard for emergency care in the U.S. 

4. Best Sports Reference: One of the women fighting in the waiting room has “a left hook like Billy Conn,” Pittsburgh’s light heavyweight boxing champ. 

5. Best Ohio joke: What Pittsburgher doesn’t love a good swipe at our neighbors to the west? “Worse case, you have to take a job in Youngstown.”
