Hugh Grant saved a fortune AND became more desirable by creating a fake agent. Here’s how you can do the same with a fake assistant:

Step 1: Create the Identity- Set up a professional email like name@yourcompany.com (I chose Olivia, obvi!)

Step 2: Build the Positioning Scripts - Your assistant should never make you sound desperate. Instead of “Yes, when can we start?” they say “Let me check availability and get back to you.”

Step 3: Create Scarcity Language:

“Currently booked through [date]”

“I have a waiting list of 3 people ahead of you”

“[Your name] is very selective about taking on new clients”

Step 4: Set Premium Standards - Your assistant can mention rates, requirements, and application processes that you’d feel awkward stating yourself.

Step 5: Response Timing - Never respond immediately but always respond in a timely fashion as your assistant would be expected to. 

Remember: Emulate the successful company you’re building.

The goal isn’t to book more clients - it’s to position yourself so the RIGHT clients want to book you at PREMIUM rates.

Your fake assistant gives you permission to have standards you’ve been too afraid to set.
