If you recall, 184 service members and civilians lost their lives there when hijackers crashed a plane into the building. ___________________________________
This is a rare occasion for the First Lady to appear, as the public hasn’t seen her since the couple appeared at the National Governors Association dinner at the White House in February. During his speech earlier, Trump didn’t hold back. He paid tribute to the victims and shared emotional stories, but also sent out a strong message to America’s enemies. “On that fateful day, savage monsters attacked the very symbols of our civilization. Americans did not hesitate,” he said. “We will never yield, we will never bend, we will never give up, and our great American flag will never, ever fail.”

He doubled down with a warning, “If the U.S. is attacked, we will hunt you down. We will crush you without mercy, and we will triumph without question.” The service was one of many ceremonies across the country remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11 and honoring the resilience of the American people.
