Members of the Island Sailing Club from the Isle of Wight and the Royal Southern Yacht Club from Hamble-le-Rice on the mainland, meet for a cricket match played on the Brambles Sandbar in the middle of the Solent annually. The Sandbar emerges from the sea for about half an hour each year when the tide is at its lowest.
