There’s a misconception that cloth diapers need to be changed  more often than disposables and that’s just not true. 

You should change your baby diaper when you notice that they are wet or at least once every 2-3 awake hours. (Don’t wake a sleeping baby to change their diaper.) 

The same rule of thumb is true for disposable diapers. Change when you notice it’s wet, or at least once every 2-3 hours.
