August Asiyah Dump 💜✨

📸 Pic 1 + 2: We gave our farewells to our amazing Summer interns at a dinner party featuring Palestinian food! The Asiyah Center runs internships year-round, Fall, Spring, and Summer. While it was bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re so excited to see them grow. We’re still looking for Graphic Design and Video Editing interns—if interested, email zahra@asiyahcenter.org!

📸 Pic 3 + 4: We took our residents to a pottery-making class in the city! They spent hours shaping vases, ornaments, and more. You can see some of their finished pieces in Pic 4. Through our Asiyah & Friends program, residents get the chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy each other’s company.

📸 Pic 5: After a long day of doctor and lawyer appointments, we treated one of our clients to a café trip with pastries. Like many of our clients, she is dealing with a legal battle with her ex-partner, so this sweet break was a much-needed way to ease the stress.

📸 Pic 6 + 7: Before ➡️ After! Our volunteers built a chest during Volunteer Friday for a client’s two young daughters. Now they have the perfect space to store all their stuffed toys and treasures.

📸 Pic 8: Unfortunately, one of our clients was hospitalized for serious health issues. The work at Asiyah isn’t always easy, and it’s important to show both sides. We stood by her side as doctors ran tests, and we’re grateful to share that she is now on the road to recovery. 💜
