Skin prep is a critical step for makeup application and I am very deliberate with the products and ingredients that I use before applying. More specifically I’m intentional about using products with 

Hyaluronic acid, because this immediately hydrates and plumps the skin 
Niacinamide because it’s an all star ingredient that hydrates skin and reduces the appearance of dark spots over time, and 
Vitamin C which also works to do the same 

The Lancôme Renergie serum is packed with all of these key ingredients in addition to Ferulic Acid which provides anti aging benefits
