In June, deputies responded to Kelburn street in cityofrosemead and took a report of vehicle burglary.
 
A vigilant witness informed deputies that he had observed the burglary had just occurred, provided a description of the suspect’s vehicle and the direction it was last seen, and shared a recorded video of the incident. Deputies broadcast the description of the suspect’s vehicle and entered it into the system. 

Approximately one hour later, Deputies spotted the vehicle on the street and initiated a traffic stop. A records check revealed that the driver was on probation.

Through a thorough investigation, deputies determined that the car was a rental, and the driver was its sole occupant.

Thanks to the vigilance of our neighborhood watch, the diligence of the responding deputies, and the keen observation of the patrol deputy, the suspect was apprehended within an hour.
 
In August, the district attorney has filed the case, and the suspect is facing multiple charges, including vehicle burglary and possession of stolen property.
