Just a draining, slightly embarrassing day yesterday. I had tears streaming down my face at intake and I felt incredibly embarrassed to be presenting at the ER with essentially “bad vibes”, but I’m so glad that I went. 

The nurses were all so incredibly kind and I felt like they understood me when I struggled to explain that I lost my last pregnancy this exact week last time around and had felt this same strong and physically-insistent sense of not *feeling* pregnant anymore the morning that I learned there was no longer a heartbeat. I was so incredibly relieved when the ultrasound showed a still-active pregnancy and heartbeat, and all the more emotional because I feel like I had legitimately already started grieving. Pregnancy after loss is apparently kicking my butt. I also felt very validated when my treating physician, after confirming everything was ok, shared with me that she too had *known* she had a lost a pregnancy in the past despite no physical symptoms. 

I’m glad I went and I’m incredibly grateful for the peace of mind. I knew if I hadn’t gone I would have been spiraling all weekend until my IVF clinic opened Monday. And that’s where we are right now, 9 weeks tomorrow.
