Central Michigan University is taking its first steps towards developing guidelines for the usage of artificial intelligence on campus with the launch of the 2025 Go Grant initiative "Embracing AI at CMU" in early September. ⁠

The initiative aims to provide the university with clear recommendations for policy regarding AI usage for both students and faculty by January 2026.⁠
