It’s officially Sand Show Week! And what better way to kick it off than by recognizing our first-ever S4 Person of the Year — Greg Cottrell, Founder & President of ruggedradios

This brand-new award, created by Bonnier LLC, the promoters and owners of the Sand Sports Super Show, is about honoring the innovators, leaders, and builders who push our sport forward. It represents the heart of the sand sports community—celebrating those whose vision, dedication, and passion inspire us all.

Greg embodies that spirit. From working in his dad’s motorcycle repair shop to founding ruggedradios in 2004, he’s revolutionized off-road communications and helped elevate the entire industry.

We’ll be presenting Greg with this award on Friday, September 19 at 6:00 PM on the Main Stage during the drt.motorsports Sand Sports Super Show. This isn’t just a recognition of one person—it’s a celebration of the entire community that makes this event what it is.
