Dare to try it? 🤔 

Brooklyn FC of the gainbridgesuperleague (Division 1) play their games at Maimonides Park right next to some incredible rides at Luna Park in Coney Island. 

As soon as we saw the rollercoasters overlooking the field, we knew we had to see if it’d be possible to watch an entire game from the rides.

Here’s how you can try it for yourself:

1. Get an All Day Platinum OR All Day Extraordinary wristband at Luna Park (discounted online) to get access to the rides. This will ensure you can ride the rollercoasters repeatedly, for as many times as you want.

2. Tony’s Express is the closest rollercoaster to the pitch and it provides the best overall view. It is classified as a “high thrill” ride at the park, but it is pretty tame overall and you can see the field quite calmly for a bit.

3. The Thunderbolt rollercoaster provides the highest vantage point, and you’ll be overlooking the pitch from 114.8ft up in the air. It is classified as an “extreme thrill” ride, and you’ll only see the stadium for a couple of seconds before plunging down at nearly 60mph. It’s terrifying but worth it for the breathtaking view. 

4. Although you’ll get some amazing views, we wouldn’t recommend it if you’d like to follow the game closely, since you’ll only see the field on certain turns or peaks. 

5. The best way to enjoy this experience would be going on Tony’s Express a few times and then culminating with one (or more, if you’re brave) ride of the Thunderbolt to get the amazing view from way up in the air. 

6. Overall, it’s an incredible experience and one that we’d recommend as a fun bucket list as a soccer fan. You can ride the rollercoasters a couple times and then head down to the stadium to watch the game closely.

Verdict: MUST TRY 
Rating: Scary but fun/10
