And away we go!

It’s been 20 years since I was a student on a college campus. As a total school nerd I could not wait to get back.

I had my loose leaf and binder ready last night. Pens, highlighters, folders, and a mint green (ahem on brand) guacamole backpack packed and ready to go.

I just got out of my first day of 19th grade and OMG did that feel good!

It was funny to hear the kids who graduated in the last few years and took a minute off say they haven’t been in a university setting in a while. My BA was 2000. My MA was 2005. Perhaps one was a blastocyst when I got either.

I swear I said “I have socks older than you” less times than I said NO - I’m a student NOT faculty.

I got my student ID, parking pass, and printed out everything because I’m old.

I can’t join clubs. I tried 😆.

Let’s be honest, I’m fantasizing about getting home and having a date night with my 3-hole puncher.

There are cute boys playing SpikeBall on the quad (is this the new hacky sack?) but I’m a married mom of three.

Plus I have socks older than them… whoops I did it again.  Wait… were they born when that song came out (2000)? NOPE! Ouch.

Everyone seemed nice, the professors seem AWESOME, and I am READY TO GO!!!!

Plus the school colors are maize and blue. I didn’t even know that! I mean…

Day 1 down of my Master’s in Social Work. I can’t believe I’m doing this!!!!

And to answer my Dad… I am NOT the oldest one here! 😆 Yay!!!

For the people who asked if going back to school means I’m no longer running The Mint Chip Mama or closing my digital marketing agency or no longer a blogger and content creator - my answer is heck no! Do you know how GOLDEN this content is! 😉(that was a joke for Anthony). Reinvention, Baby!
