With degrees in Women’s & Gender Studies and Human Rights, Amy has long fought for the Latinx community—challenging gender violence, queer discrimination, and racial injustice. 🌎✊

That passion for justice also shows up in their writing, where Amy blends lived experience with bold ideas—exploring everything from radical self-love for brown girls to Latinx body issues, mental health, borderland identities, and queer love. 📝🧡

For Amy, activism isn’t just on the page—it’s also on the plate. They founded Veggie Mijas (veggiemijas), a women of color collective that centers veganism through the lens of marginalized identities. What began as a small community has now grown into chapters across the country, bringing together vegan folks of color and pushing for more accessible food systems nationwide. 🌱✨

Amy is making Future History by challenging systems of oppression, celebrating radical self-love, and building a future where food justice, culture, and community thrive together. 🌟
