Today on Terry Fox Plaza, The orangeshirtsociety proudly celebrated a landmark in education and reconciliation: the graduation of B.C.’s first class to complete K–12 with Indian Residential School history fully integrated into their curriculum.

On April 13 2026, #BCPlace will welcome students from across the province in a day to honour and celebrate indigenous history and culture in a special graduation ceremony event.
